All Language and International Trade students at Clemson University are required to complete an internship with an international company. During my time in Argentina, I had the opportunity to intern for a period of four months with BITsion Gingk Soft SRL, a software technology and development company. BITsion is a multinational company headquartered in Cordoba, Argentina, with additional locations in Columbia and Peru.

 

My title was market research and analysis intern and I had two main projects I completed for the company during my internship:

1. I conducted market research and analysis for BITsion and their current position and rating within the software technology industry.

2. I proposed new market product entry, along with the appropriate modes of implementation and investigating various marketing strategies to capture the attention of new, global target markets.

 

I had the opportunity to work with two other colleagues in my study abroad program at BITsion Gingko Soft SRL. I was able to build on and perfect my communication, conflict management and collaborative skills through additional projects we completed for the company.

 

I believe the skills I obtained from my market research and analysis position at BITsion Gingko Soft SRL will be beneficial to my success in future careers. I gained insight into Latin American business etiquette and structure, as well as daily practices and operations which could prove greatly advantageous for global expansion and international relations.
